Eating shrimp is just like eating the suckerfish out of your fish tank; they both eat garbage.

What Sobek is saying, basically, is: "So, because shrimp is in other places, its ok to fuck up this one with oil." As well as, "Well, looks like people should start finding a new place to get shrimp from."

The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

I do believe they said, "Around 30% or so of the gulf is currently un-fishable." Sadly, that 30% is just outside the coast where the majority of the shrimping boats are moored.

Fearmongering time. If the oil seepage reaches the North Atlantic current it will undoubtedly speed along well up and down the florida coast line, and possibly even have tar balls show up all along the eastern coast.

Here comes The Day After Tomorrow, now in technicolor.

Damn, that's fucked up. Sucks too that your local gas station attendants that get gas from BP are stuck in this predicament regardless of how they feel. Best they could do if they could afford would be to change brands and get oil from another company.

Ironically, since the whole BP incident started here, our gas prices in Dallas have done nothing but decrease. Hell, for Memorial Day alone, which is usually the weekend when summer prices soar, they actually went down 10 cents a day prior.
